We require enthusiastic apprentices to work on our existing sites. The applicant must be committed to learning, with a genuine interest and commitment to this exciting and dynamic industry.

Apprentices will be working alongside experienced tradesmen on a daily basis on site and will complete off-the-job training at a local college on a day release basis.

Typical tasks include:

  • Interpreting technical drawings & specifications and understanding how the product fits into a house or building.
  • Understanding the performance and uses of different types and grades of wood.
  • Assessing and selecting appropriate wood for the job.
  • Using hand, power tools specialist tools and traditional techniques to measure, mark, cut, shape, join, fit, fix finish wood/timber according to the drawings / specifications.
  • Erect permanent structures such as roofs and walls.
  • Erect temporary structures such as formwork/shuttering.
  • Dismantling temporary structures.
  • Assessing risks and working in a safe manner.

On successful completion of your Advanced Apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to become self- employed, to be offered a role working with a sub- contractor or eligible to apply for our Trainee Site Manager Academy, where you could train to go on to be a Site Manager. Of course, if it was easy everyone could do it so we're looking for the brightest minds with future potential. And if you work hard and show that you're a manager of the future'; we will be thinking about a place on the Site Management Academy.
