Substantial growth in our financial advice firm has created a new opportunity for an additional mortgage processor/administrator to join our amazing team.The ideal candidate will help us process new mortgage and protection applications, starting from booking the appointments all the way through to completion.

  • Using our in-house system on a daily basis to input new clients and service existing ones.
  • Liaising with over 90 Lenders, insurance companies, solicitors, estate agents, accountants and ensuring our clients requirements and expectations are met.
  • Data input
  • Answering the telephone, photocopying, faxing documents, scanning, monitoring and ordering stationary.

Full training given on in house computer system (travelling may be required)

This employer is willing to take on a Level 3 Apprentice if a candidate has already obtained the appropriate Level 2 qualification.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent computer skills and a good working knowledge of Windows applications including Word and Excel.
  • Good appreciation of the regulated environment is advantageous.
  • Interest in financial services/ conveyancing would be beneficial
  • Excellent telephone manner, with outstanding customer service skills essential.

Personal qualities

Personal Attributes:

  • You should have excellent communication skills, Verbal & Written, as you’ll be required to liaise with Mortgage Lenders, Insurance Companies, Clients, Solicitors and other professional connections.
  • You should be able to work under pressure, using your own initiative –as part of a hard-working team or by yourself.
  • You should also be able to work within a defined business process and have the ability to multitask and prioritise your workload.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade C or above preferred

Future prospects

Once the full apprenticeship framework is achieved, employees will be ready to further their career and it may be possible to progress to a higher level apprenticeship.

Things to consider

From time to time overtime maybe offered to suit the demands of the role. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
