We are looking for an Apprentice Butcher to work 39 hours 5 days a week including Saturdays.

They will be trained in all aspects of meat industry etc.

Duties/tasks you will carry out are:

  • Serving cutsomers using tills and electronic scales
  • Cutting all meats
  • Making further processed products
  • Displaying of meat
  • Cleaning of the shop

Butchery is a skilled profession with a shortage of skilled butchers becoming less available. If you are proficient and qualified you can command a good salary for any skilled butcher’s job, there is always high demand in this profession.

Things to consider

It is hard work, often involves weekend work, can be physically demanding, in winter it is a cold environment to work in.
