Working for this long established company, you will learn the processes in each production department.  This will include:

  • Stripping
  • Cranks
  • Cylinder heads
  • Blocks
  • Engine assembly
  • Gearboxes
  • Turbo's
  • Range Development
  • Maintenance

A full training schedule will be given to the apprentice to work and gain experience in each production department - further details of this will be discussed at the interview stage.

Training provider

You will achieve an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.  There are two phases of training.  These are:

  • Foundation Stage - this is focussed on developing your core skills, knowledge and behaviour, allowing you to work effectively with supervision in a largely simulated working environment.
  • Development Stage - this will focus on applying your on-job vocational competence supported by further guided learning, enabling you to eventually work without the need for close supervision. 

You will achieve during both phases the following qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
  • BTEC Level 3 in Engineering.
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.
