Successful candidates will assist within our Administrative Duties.  This is a very exciting and varied role where the successful applicant will learn all areas of Admin.

The role will involve, although is not limited to the following:

  • Electronic Book Keeping
  • Business Accounts Management
  • End of Month Accounts Reconciliations
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Marketing assistance (where required)
  • Database management
  • New client files
  • Banking
  • Answering telephones
  • Incoming and outgoing mail

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Interview We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid. Travel Information Nearest train station is Folkestone West. Walking distance from station to destination is 0.4 miles, takes 8 minutes.

Centenary Solicitors are a niche law firm working in the areas of Personal Injury, Sexual Abuse, Military Accidents and Commercial Services. We aim to provide a high standard of advice to all of our clients often in their most vulnerable times. We act for clients on a national basis throughout England and Wales. Our offices are currently based on Sandgate Road Folkestone although we will be moving to Cheriton Road in the next month or so.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
